The city manager of Milford is resigning at the end of this month.

Eric Norenberg is exiting after nearly four years on the job.  He tendered his resignation several weeks ago to Milford mayor Archie Campbell and the City Council - effective December 31, 2019.

In his resignation letter, Norenberg stated that his vision for the City of Milford differs from that of City leadership.

Mayor Campbell agrees, “We’re going in different directions. And we feel that Mr. Norenberg is not going in the same direction.”

Campbell refused to elaborate.

He did say the process to select  a new city manager will begin soon, “So we have to pick a committee so we can start looking at resumes and we’re going after the national side and also on the local side - for Delaware (for a replacement).”

Campbell says he expects the entire process to take a few months.

Prior to coming to the City of Milford, Norenberg worked for the City of Oberlin, Ohio.
