Tuesday night’s huge Mega Millions jackpot has produced a winner - sadly the ticket was not sold in Delaware.
A Mega Millions ticket sold in South Carolina matched the winning numbers from Tuesday's night's drawing for a record $1.6 billion jackpot. The winner now has the option of taking a one-time cash payout of $913 million.
The winning numbers drawn were 5-28-62-65-70 and the Mega Ball was 5. Delaware has still never produced a MegaMillions jackpot winner.
There’s still another huge jackpot available this week. The Powerball drawing is Wednesday, and the top prize for that is an estimated $620 million. That’s the sixth biggest 20 all-time.
The First State’s last Powerball win came in December 2016 when a winning ticket worth nearly $122 million was sold at a Selbyville-area gas station.
The odds of winning Powerball are about one in 292 million.
