The 2020 election cycle is now in full swing.
As part of our election coverage, Delaware Public Media is offering a series a Candidate Conversations - including in the race for Insurnace Commissioner.
We’ve reached out to all candidates that have filed to run in the races for U.S. House and U.S. Senate, as well as the races for state Governor, Lt. Governor and Insurance Commissioner and invited them to sit down with us. Candidates in each race are being asked about the same series of topics to allow you to get to know then and compare them.
In the race for Insurance Commissioner, incumbent Trinidad Navarro is seeking a second term. He faces a primay challenge from Kayode Abegunde. The winner of that primary witn face Republican Dr. Juia Pillsbury in November's general election.
Candidate Conversations are part of Delaware Debates 2020, a collaboration between Delaware Public Media and the University of Delaware's Center for Political Communication.

Democrat Trinidad Navarro is the incumbent and seeking a second term. He won the office in 2016, by defeating Republican Jeff Cragg in the general election following a primary win over former Ins. Commissioner Karen Weldin Stewart. Before that, he was twice elected New Castle County Sheriff.
