The fabled number one surf fishing tag will hit the auction block next Saturday, along with nearly a dozen other low-digit plates.
Others up for bid include numbers five, 11, 200, 400 and 500.
Five other auctions let the winner choose a low-digit tag of their choice from a range of numbers.
Similar in style to Delaware’s fabled low digit license plates with a black and white motif, these surf fishing tags allow their owners to drive onto designated beaches and cast a line into the ocean.
During the first auction last year, state parks raised more than $315,000 from 92 tags.
Anyone with his or her eyes on a plate numbered 200 and under must be a Delaware resident.
Bidding starts at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at Delaware Seashore State Park.
