The Delaware Joint Legislative Council has approved creating a memorial honoring women who served in the U.S. military.
The plan is to put the new memorial on the Northwest side of Legislative Hall.
The idea for the women’s military memorial came from Delaware City resident Cheryl Dennis. In this week’s Enlighten Me, the former Marine chats with with Delaware Public Media’s Sarah Mueller about the inspiration for it.
