Gas prices continue rising in First State

Delaware Public Media

Delaware drivers saw gas prices edge higher last week.

AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the cost of a gallon of regular rose by two cents over the past 7 days – from $2.12 to $2.14.

And Delawaregasprices.com says there aren’t many places to find it much cheaper.  Only a half dozen stations across the state are charging less than $2.13 or less

The current price is higher than it was a year ago at this time when First State drivers paid an average of $2.01 a gallon.

AAA says prices continue rising after OPEC and non-OPEC members, such as Russia, met last week and struck a deal to curtail oil output and ease a global glut after more than two years of low prices.

The national average was also up three cents last week– from $2.18 to $2.21.
