Getting around in an alternative fuel vehicle will be easier for those living or visiting Delaware in the near future.

It was only three years ago that A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children started using tablets and video streaming as part of emergency care, but its grown quickly ever since.  Delaware Public Media contributor Pam George examines expansion of telehealth efforts in Delaware.

In Delaware, transportation is responsible for a third of the state’s carbon emissions.

Addressing this chunk of the First State’s carbon footprint is critical to Gov. Markell’s goal to reduce 30 percent of the state’s emissions from 2005 over the next 15 years. In July, he launched the Clean Transportation Incentive Program, offering financial incentives to nudge consumers to consider greener vehicles, like the electric Nissan Leaf.  

EV chargers now available at Rehoboth outlets

Electric vehicle owners visiting Rehoboth Beach can now find some relief for their range anxiety, thanks to new charging stations at the Tanger Outlets.

Tanger’s Bayside, Surfside and Seaside locations on Route 1 now each four electric vehicle charging stations.  Each one is a level 1 charging station, which for Nissan Leafs, can charge four and a half miles per hour.
