The Freeman Stage at Bayside in Selbyville unveiled the second portion of its 2018 summer concert season Monday night.

The Rehoboth Art League puts the spotlight on the works of 250 young artists starting this weekend.


Students from 25 public and private schools are featured in the 22nd Annual “Young at Art” exhibit opening at the Arts League’s campus in Henlopen Acres.

Delaware has a new 2018 Poetry Out Loud State Champion.

15-year-old Sam McGarvey - a sophomore from Tall Oaks Classical School - emerged from a competitive field of 12 Delaware high school students to earn the title at the State finals in Dover last month.

The Freeman Stage at Bayside in Selbyville began announcing its 2018 summer concert schedule Thursday.



Opera Delaware, the nation’s 11th oldest professional opera company, is celebrating its 73rd season.

And part of that celebration is Opera Delaware’s 2018 Opera Festival, slated for April 28th through May 6th.


For this week’s Arts Playlist, Delaware Public Media’s Kelli Steele sat down with Opera Delaware’s General Director Brendan Cooke to talk about this year’s Festival.

Phillip C. Showell Elementary School in Selbyville, is teaming up with local artist John Donato to create a special “History of Selbyville” mural in one of the school’s hallways.

Students began painting the mural in January and will continue working on it until its unveiled March 7.

And the school is also host a series of related special events leading up to that unveiling.
