Some schools in the First State are being affected Monday by the the winter storm that rolled through Delaware over the weekend.
In Central Delaware, the Caesar Rodney, Capital, Milford, Lake Forest, Polytech, Smyrna and Woodbridge School Districts are now closed.
In Sussex County, the Laurel School District, the Delmar School District and Seaford School District are closed; Sussex Tech and Sussex Academy of Arts and Sciences are also now closed. Cape Henlopen and Indian River will each open two hours late. Also opening two hours late is Delmarva Christian High School in Georgetown and Delmarva Christian Milton Campus, as well as Greenwood Mennonite School.
In New Castle County, Appoquinimink School District and MOT Charter School are opening two hours late.
And Delaware Tech’s Georgetown and Dover campuses will open late Monday. They will both be opening at 10 a.m.
Dover Air Force Base will also be on a two hour delay Monday.
Delaware State University is also operating on a two-hour delay.
Delaware saw between 2 and 4 inches from the weekend storm that started Saturday night and lasted into Sunday.
Just over two inches fell in the northernmost part of the state in places like Claymont and Greenville. But some spots in New Castle County saw more, including Glasgow where 3.7 inches were reported.
Most places in Kent and Sussex County saw 3.5 to 4 inches. The highest totals reported were 4 inches in Ellendale and Harrington.
