Updated DART Transit app launched

The Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC) recently launched an upgraded DART Transit App.

If you use the DART Transit App, you may notice some changes.

Delaware Transit Corporation (DTC), CEO John Sisson says the upgrades to the app are an effort to improve the customer experience.

And he adds now is the perfect time to re-launch it with winter approaching.

“So the new app puts in one place all our features that we want to get to our customers. Whether it’s finding out real-time information on where your bus is, letting you do a trip-plan, looking up bus schedules, paying your fare, alerts about service interruptions…..everything is all in one place,” said Sisson.

Sisson adds DART’s latest press releases are also now available right on the app.

“We’ve had some of these features before. And so we know this is a way a lot of our customers want to communicate with us and get information quickly. Generationally, some people don’t want to talk to a person, they just want to get the information,” Sisson said.

He notes the DART Transit app was developed in-house.  Delaware Transit Corporation employees who use DelDOT technology teamed up with the State’s Department of Technology and Information (DTI), to bring it all together.
