The state is reporting a second consecutive day of single-digit deaths related to COVID-19.
Delaware health officials announced seven new deaths Monday bringing the total statewide to 297.
The state reported four deaths on Sunday after seeing a total of 61 the previous five days.
The deaths ranged in age from 60 to 89. Six were New Castle County residents and one was from Sussex County. Six had underlying health conditions. Three were residents of long-term care facilities.
Another 199 people in Delaware have tested positive for the virus as well, bringing that total to 7,869 since March 11.
Hospitalizations also went up after dropping steadily for several days. That number rose by 11 and is back up to 240 statewide.
67 new people in Delaware have recovered from COVID-19. 3,545 people have done so since the start of the outbreak.
The five-day average of new positive cases in Delaware rose slightly to 140.
Almost 35,000 people have tested negative for the virus.
