Seaford residents are being told their water is safe.
DNREC and Division of Public Health State says no perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) were found in samples of Seaford’s water tested and it is safe to drink or use for cooking, bathing and laundry.
The testing was done in response to high levels of PFCs being found in three wells serving the nearby Town of Blades.
Blades residents are still being told to use water provided by the state for drinking, cooking and brushing teeth. The town is waiting for results from EPA tests on its water following the installation of a new filtration system before clearing the public to use it again
The town is still flushing municipal water through that new system
