The Sussex County Council approved various measures Tuesday as part of the County’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The county is suspending its 3-percent hotel tax adopted last November and implemented in January.

It is also contributing up to $250,000 to the Delaware State Housing Authority’s Housing Assistance Program, specifically earmarked for renters in Sussex County.

Sussex County is also deferring - until further notice - the collection of lease payments for tenants of the Delaware Coastal Airport and Delaware Coastal Business Park in Georgetown.
