The City of Rehoboth Beach is trying a new approach to engage its residents.

Rehoboth recently launched a new website called Envision Rehoboth Beach.

City Manager Sharon Lynn calls it an exciting undertaking.

“[It's]where citizens can provide feedback and the City can communicate with the public to provide more of a transparent, meaningful dialogue, which hopefully will empower people and engage them to become involved,” Lynn said.

Lynn adds the website is on the MindMixer platform and allows residents to easily submit ideas, comments, suggestions, questions and even observations on City-related topics.

“I think that many people don’t necessarily come to public meetings; not because they don’t care but because they have time restraints. So this is a way for them to engage and speak to their government,” said Lynn.

She says people can submit everything from reports neighborhood flooding in during heavy rain, like the storms that hit the area Saturday to feedback on your visit to the boardwalk.
