A new art exhibit opens this week in Lewes, but it’s not at a conventional arts venue.

Long & Foster Real Estate is highlighting local artwork at their office on Savannah Road in Lewes throughout December.

Local amateur photographer and realtor Keith Misener has been asked to kick off the program.

"I’m going to be displaying probably about 20 photographs in their office in Lewes,” Misener said.

Misener considers himself an amateur photographer, but says he’s been taking pictures for a long time.

“Since I was a kid I’ve loved it, but I never really knew that much about it. I always had some sort of an automatic-type camera that did everything for me. All I had to do was aim it and push the button,” said Misener.

Misener adds he specializes in real estate photography, and nature and wildlife.

One of Misener's best known photographs of the totem pole in Bethany Beach was the cover-shot of Delaware Beach Life Magazine in July. He's also taken many photographs of rocket launches at the Wallops Flight Center in Accomack County, Virginia.

Delaware Public Media' s arts coverage is made possible, in part, by support from theDelaware Division of the Arts, a state agency dedicated to nurturing and supporting the arts in Delaware, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Long and Foster display will be unveiled during Thursday's Lewes Merchants' Hospitality Night and will run through the end of the year.
