NASCAR qualifying rained out in Dover

Delaware Public Media

Mother Nature put a damper on the start of NASCAR’s fall race weekend in Dover.

Rain washed out Friday’s scheduled qualifying Sunday’s Monster Energy Series “Gander Outdoors 400” at Dover International Speedway.

That means current points leader Kyle Busch will start on the pole for the first race in NASCAR Championship Playoffs Round of 12.  Kevin Harvick, currently in second in the standings, will join Busch on the front row.

Sunday’s race is set for a 2 pm start on the Monster Mile.
