Morning snow brings school closings, delayed openings

It is snowing throughout the First State this morning and that’s prompting school closings and delayed openings.

In New Castle County, Appoquinimink, Brandywine, Christina and Colonial, New Castle County Vo-Tech and Red Clay School Districts are now closed Friday. They were previously opening 2 hours late.

In central Delaware, Caesar Rodney, Capital, Lake Forest, Milford, Polytech and Smyrna School Districts are closed. Woodbridge School District is opening two hours late.

In Sussex County, the Laurel, Seaford and Sussex Tech School Districts are opening two hours late.

 

The University of Delaware’s Newark and other New Castle County campuses will open at 11am.  Classes before 11 a.m. will not meet.

 

Delaware State University is opening all of its locations 2 hours late.

 

Delaware Tech’s Wilmington and Stanton campuses are also opening late. They will open at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Dover campus will open at 10 a.m.
