Lottery players in Delaware and across the country can play for nearly $1 billion in jackpots this week
No one claimed the top prizes in MegaMillions or Powerball over the weekend, pushing their combined worth to $999 million.
The MegaMillions’ jackpot now sits at $654 million heading into its next drawing Tuesday night. That’s the second largest in the game’s history, trailing only $656 million prize shared by winners in three states in March 2012.
It’s also the fourth biggest jackpot all-time in the U.S.
And if you don’t hit those winning numbers, you can play for another $345 million in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing.
Delaware is still looking for its first ever MegaMillions jackpot winner. The state’s last Powerball win came in December 2016 when a winning ticket worth nearly $122 million was sold at a Selbyville gas station.
The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in over 302 million. The Powerball odds are about 1 in 292 million.
