MegaMillions jackpot nears record level

The MegaMillions jackpot is reaching heights rarely seen.

No one had the winning numbers in last night’s drawing, pushing the top prize for the next drawing Friday to $868 million.

That’s the largest MegaMillions jackpot ever and the second largest in U.S. history.  And it could move even higher if ticket sales are strong over the next few days.

Delaware has never had a MegaMillions jackpot winner.  The odds of winning are one in over 302 million.

And there’s another big jackpot up for grabs Wednesday night.

The top prize in the Powerball drawing is $345 million.

The First State’s last Powerball win came in December 2016 when a winning ticket worth nearly $122 million was sold at a Selbyville gas station.

The odds of winning Powerball are about one in 292 million.
