MegaMillions jackpot hits $1 billion

The MegaMillions jackpot has reached the $1 billion dollar mark.

Strong ticket sales have pushed the prize from $970 million to $1 billion ahead of Friday night's drawing.

It had initially moved to $868 million after no one had the winning numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing.

It’s the largest MegaMillions jackpot ever and the second largest in U.S. history.

Delaware has never had a MegaMillions jackpot winner.  The odds of winning are one in over 302 million.

And Saturday’s Powerball drawing also offers an enticing jackpot.

The top prize there stands at $430 million, putting it in the top 20 all-time.

The First State’s last Powerball win came in December 2016 when a winning ticket worth nearly $122 million was sold at a Selbyville gas station.

The odds of winning Powerball are about one in 292 million.
