Gov. Markell's 2014 State of the State address

Governor Jack Markell delivered his State of the State address this week before a joint session of the General Assembly.

The State of the State is often long on idea and short on specifics – a vision statement for the year, followed by the nuts and bolts in the governor’s budget proposal, which he’ll deliver next week.

Democratic lawmakers react to 2014 State of the State

State considers new charter school proposals

State Department of Education officials have begun their review of proposals for new charter schools in Delaware – charters that would open in Fall 2015.

Three of the eight proposals were immediately turned down.
