As lawmakers return to Legislative Hall to wrap up this year’s session this month, some members of the public can join them.
The General Assembly reconvenes Tuesday - and is welcoming the public back in limited fashion for the first time since the pandemic began.
Anyone who wants to attend a House or Senate session must sign-up for the opportunity, and can reserve seats on the Delaware General Assembly website. There will be separate sign-up forms for the House and Senate.
50 seats will be made available to the public each day - 25 in the House gallery and 25 in the Senate gallery. The sign-up forms will be available starting at 5 p.m. the evening before each session day.
Members of the public are required to provide their full name and email address to reserve a seat, and they will receive a confirmation by email.
Only one sign-up per day is allowed and masks must be worn at all times while inside Legislative Hall. Access to the remainder of the building remains restricted, and the House and Senate floor are still closed to the public.
The legislative session will continue to be broadcast online, and committee meetings conducted virtually with the public not being permitted access to the House chamber on committee days.
Seating will be available in the Senate chamber on any Wednesday in which the Senate is in session.
