Gas prices tick slightly lower in Delaware

Delaware Public Media

First State drivers saw bit of relief at the gas pump last week.

AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the average price for a gallon of regular in Delaware dipped slightly this past week, dropping 3 cents to $2.80.

And Delawaregasprices.com lists over a dozen stations across the state with a price of $2.69 or less.

The First State also remains the cheapest place for gas regionally.

A gallon of regular is $3.08 in the Philadelphia area, while averaging around $2.85 in South Jersey and $2.83 in Maryland.

But the price locally is still well above where its sat a year ago when it was just $2.25.

The national average sits at $2.86, about a penny less than last week.
