The total number of cases of COVID-19 in Delaware has reached 30.
The majority of confirmed cases are still in New Castle County with 23 people testing positive.
Kent County has three cases and Sussex has four.
Confirmed cases include a member of Sen. Tom Carper’s staff, a parent in the Milford School District, a Wilmington Public Works Department employee and several members of the University of Delaware community.
The Division of Public Health says ages of those infected range from 14 to 80 and the cases involved 17 men and 13 women. Three individuals are hospitalized and one is critically ill.
Individuals who are sick are urged to stay home and contact their primary care provider for guidance. Those who have been tested for the virus are urged to wait to hear back from their medical provider. The DPH Call Center does not have test results.
State officials urge Delawareans to act as if they have the virus whether they have symptoms or not and remain six feet away from other people.
And Gov. John Carney expanded his State of Emergency order, closing bowling alleys, movie theaters, fitness centers and health spas.
