DSU hikes tuition for incoming students

Delaware Public Media

Incoming Delaware State University students will have to pay more for their degrees next year.

DSU’s Board of Trustees raised tuition for new undergrads by five percent after keeping tuition flat for the past two years.

Delawareans will pay about $7,000 a year, while out of state students will owe roughly $16,000.

Rent at DSU’s residential halls won’t change, nor will meal plan rates aside from an inflationary adjustment. Academic fees won’t change either.

University President Harry Williams says keeping tuition static for four years is part of an effort to help students graduate during that time period with less of a financial burden.
