The upcoming NASCAR Cup Series race in Dover has a new sponsor.

Dover International Speedway officials announced a new partnership with the Jonestown, Pennsylvania-based motor oil company Drydene Performance Products.

The speedway’s fall race for the next three years will be called the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Drydene 400.

“Drydene has such a great reputation from its products—the performance of the products—the quality of the people, the longevity of how long the company has been in business,” said Speedway President Mike Tatoian. “So for our track to have a partnership with a brand like that really does mean a lot to the track.”

The Drydene 400 is Sunday, Oct. 6. It’s the first race in the round of 12 Cup series playoffs.

It’s also the 100th Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway. The Monster Mile is celebrating its 50th year anniversary.

“Actually just met a fan who was here in 1969 for the first race,” said Tatoian. “He watched Richard Petty win the first race, which is amazing. It’s historic. It’s fifty years. For any business to be in business for 50 years is pretty amazing.”

The Drydene 400 will make Dover International Speedway one of ten tracks to have hosted 100 or more NASCAR events.

Drydene is also sponsoring NASCAR driver Corey Lajoie. If Lajoie wins any stage of the race a sweepstakes winner will take home a 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350.
