Dover Police seize thousands of bags of heroin

Delaware Public Media

Dover Police seized roughly 7,500 bags of heroin during an investigation late last week.

Dover PD arrested three people on drug and firearms charges Friday, and found a total of more than 50 grams of heroin and about 30 grams of ecstacy.

Jeremy Thompson and Robert Burkhamer were arrested at a McDonalds on S. DuPont Highway while allegedly completing a drug deal there.  Jasmine Carter was arrested later at the Super 8 hotel on N. Dupont Highway where police say they found additional drugs.

Thompson was sent to Sussex Correctional Institution and Carter to Baylor Women’s— each on several charges including intent to deliver heroin.

Burkhamer was released on unsecured bond with a single charge of ecstacy possession.
