Delaware drivers get some good news at the pump as November gets underway.
Prices are holding steady or dropping this week thanks to the lowest gas demand in four months - and that leaves gas costs significantly below where they stood a year ago.
AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the average price for a gallon of regular in the First State is $2.24.
That’s down 4 cents from last week and 12-cents from last November.
But it’s still higher than the current national average which sits at $2.12 a gallon.
Regionally, drivers are paying about $2.44 per gallon in the Philadelphia area, around $2.20 in South Jersey and $2.25 in Maryland.
AAA notes that prices typically drop in the fall. But late last week
domestic crude prices fell due to market concerns about increasing coronavirus infections worldwide. That lowered crude demand as countries impose new restrictions - limiting oil consumption.
