Delaware to welcome VP Biden home Friday

Vice President Joe Biden won’t quietly slip back into First State after he leaves office later this week.

A rally welcoming Biden and his wife Jill back to Delaware is scheduled for Friday.

The Bidens are expected to return to Wilmington by train after attending the Presidential Inauguration. They’ll then head to the Chase Center on the Riverfront for a welcome home rally at 2:30 – featuring Gov. John Carney, Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki, and Delaware’s Congressional delegation.

The event is open to the public.  Doors at the Chase Center open at 1pm.  There will be security and backpacks and coolers are prohibited.
