Delaware Prosperity Partnership launches workforce recruiting website

Delaware created a new website that seeks to draw new workers to the First State.

The Delaware Prosperity Partnership recently launched LiveLoveDelaware. com.

“What the LiveLoveDelware site attempts to do is to sort of show an individual who may be outside unfamiliar with the state - the personality of Delaware," said the Delaware Prosperity Partnership's director of talent Charles Madden. "We think Delaware has a lot to offer and much of which you can find on Google or on the web; but we think that beyond again - sort of the geography and some of the business aspects, there’s a personality unique to Delaware.”

Madden notes they created it at the request of area companies.

“Companies, as they are out trying to recruit talent, sometimes that talent is coming from outside of Delaware," said Madden. "And one of the challenges they found is how do we sell Delaware to someone who may have never really heard or have much of a-relationship with Delaware.”

Madden says the site includes a cost-of-living calculator and links to information on tourism and important industries.

He adds that the goal is to show an outsider the state’s personality through the eyes of those who have moved here to work or own businesses.

The Delaware Prosperity Partnership developed LiveLoveDelaware.com with the Wilmington-based Shiny Agency.
