25 Division of Child Support Services employees are moving to a new location this week after finding mold in some areas of its office in Dover’s Blue Hen Corporate Center. ";

Moving day has arrived for the Division of Child Support Services in Dover.

Twebnty-five Department of Health and Social Service employees are being moved  because of mold-related health problems in their building at the Blue Hen Corporate Center.

“We’ve had some issues with air quality at the Blue Hen Corporate Center; I think that’s been published, so that’s not anything new. So we’re going to go ahead and move our staff over to another location which is 905 S. Governors Avenue right in Dover as well, so it’s still convenient for the public,” said Julie Shahan - the deputy director of the Division of Child Support Services.

She says the move will take place Monday and Tuesday. During that time, DCSS offices in Georgetown and New Castle will remain open for business.

Shahan says the new location will be slightly bigger than the old location at the Blue Hen Corporate Center, with 8,182-square-feet.

The new Dover location opens on Wednesday, August 1, 2018.

Eleven of the 25 employees have filed workers’ compensation claims due to health problems associated with the mold in the old building.
