Body of missing Dover Air Force Base airman found

The body of a missing Dover Air Force Base airman declared dead earlier this month has been found.

Dover Police says a fisherman discovered Senior Airman Keifer Huhman’s body around noon Thursday in the C & D Canal along Dutch Neck Road.

The body was identified as Huhman by the Delaware Division of Forensic Science.

The discovery comes two weeks after the Air Force declare Huhman dead.

Huhman failed to report for duty Monday, February 8th and was last seen the night before leaving his home at Blue Hen Apartments in Dover.

Law enforcement later learned Huhman’s blue Ford truck had been towed from the shoulder of the William Roth Bridge over the C &D Canal by State Police late that Sunday night.  At the time, air and water searches were launched, but turned up nothing.
