Tom Byrne/Delaware Public Media

The Wilmington Blue Rocks’ 2015 season just ended, but the club is already looking ahead to 2016.

Less than a week after losing to Myrtle Beach in the Mills Cup Carolina League Championship series, the Rocks released their 2016 schedule Tuesday.

For the first time since 2008, Wilmington will open its season at home, hosting the Potomac Nationals Thursday April 7th at Frawley Stadium. It will be the start of a seven game season opening homestand. The club’s first road game is April 14th at Potomac.

The Blue Rocks drew 282,437 fans to Frawley Stadium in 2015, finishing third in the Carolina League in attendance with an average of 4,100 fans per game.
