Delaware health officials report one more COVID-19 death and another 76 new positive cases Monday as the state begins phase two of its reopening plan.
Delaware’s COVID-19 death toll is now at 423. 10,340 people have tested positive for the virus in the state since March 11.
The most recent death involved a 64-year-old New Castle County woman who was a resident of a long-term care facility and had underlying health conditions.
Delaware is also reporting five fewer hospitalizations Monday for a total of 88 statewide. 13 people are critically ill.
The five-day average of people testing positive still sits below 3% as of Sunday. Also, the five-day average of new positive cases continues to hover around the 50 mark.
No new recoveries were announced Monday. That total stands at 6,172 since the start of the pandemic.
Sussex County has a total of 4,416 confirmed positived Covid-19 cases, New Castle County has a total of 4,345 and Kent has seen 1,565.
