The Freeman Stage at Bayside in Selbyville began announcing its 2018 summer concert schedule Thursday.

This year’s slate of Freeman Stage concerts is being revealed in two parts, Volumes 1 & 2.

Volume 1 was unveiled Thursday and the venue’s  communication and public relations manager Alyson Cunningham says they’re excited about the variety of headliners coming in.

“So, a couple of our performers this year include, Smokey Robinson; and we’re kicking off our season with him on June 1. We have the Whalers returning on June 15; country musician Chris Janson on June 22 and Leslie Odom Jr.,, Broadway and Tony award winner, coming on July 8,” said Cunnningham.

This is the Freeman Stage’s 11th season at Freeman Stage; and Cunningham says the biggest season yet.

Combined, the Volume 1 and 2 lineups will bring over 60 performers to Selbyville. The second volume line-up will be released this spring.

Other headliners announced Thursday include Comedian Jeff Foxworthy, the Beach Boys, Cheap Trick and Vince Gill.

“We also have Bruce Hornsby and The Noisemakers with special Guest The Wood Brothers on June 30 and A capella sensation Straight No Chaser on July 24,” Cunningham said.
