Laurel mayor re-elected for a 10th term

The mayor of Laurel earns a 10th term in office.

John Shwed defeated challenger Mark Sikora 80 votes to 63 in Thursday’s Mayor and Town Council Election according to the Delaware State News.

Residents also elected Donald Holden to an at-large Council seat.  He defeated Denise Mackey 102-38.

Robin Fisher and Jonathan Kellen remain on Town Council after running unopposed.

All will be sworn in at the Monday, April 5th council meeting.
