Free WiFi available on all DART fixed route buses statewide

DART riders no longer need to worry about running out of data while using public transportation.

Free internet access is now available on DART buses statewide.

Riders can access free, public WiFi on all fixed route buses statewide and at the Wilmington Transit Center

“We experimented with this a few years on our buses between Dover and Wilmington and had some success. And we had requests for it to be on all of our buses,” said John Sisson, the chief executive officer of DART.

He says DART feels that making this available is important as the major I-95 reconstruction project in Wilmington gets started next year.

Sisson expects more people will seek alternative transportation options during that project, including public transportation, and DART hopes free WiFi will entice Delawareans to ride DART buses.

To get the free WiFi on DART fixed route buses, just go to your WiFi settings and select the network name, which is DART WiFi. Once you’re prompted for a password, type in RideDART.

To get the free WiFi at the Wilmington Transit Center, just go to your WiFi settings and select the network name State-Guest-Net; there is no password required.
