Candidate Conversations 2020: U.S. House candidate Lisa Blunt Rochester

Candidate Conversations are part of Delaware Public Media’s 2020 Election coverage, and the Delaware Debates we are producing again this fall with the University of Delaware’s Center for Political Communication.

Among the races we are examining is the race for U.S. House and in this interview, the incumbent, Democrat Lisa Blunt Rochester.

Blunt Rochester won the seat four years ago in 2016, becoming the first women and first person of color to represent Delaware in Congress.  She won a second term two years ago, defeating Republican Scott Walker.

Her campaign website is here.

We reached out to all candidates filed to run in the races for U.S. House and U.S. Senate, as well as Governor, Lt. Governor and Insurance Commissioner and invited them to sit down with us for a Candidate Conversation.

Candidates in each race are being asked about the same set of topics to allow you to get to know them and compare them.

In addition to airing on The Green, all interviews are available in their entirety at Delaware Public Media's website and the Delaware Debates website right through Election Day in November.
