Town of Georgetown election sees Barrett win 4th Ward seat

The Town of Georgetown's election results are in from Saturday's voting.

The Town of Georgetown held it’s 2020 municipal election over the weekend.

Mayor Bill West was unopposed and will serve another 2-year term.

In the 4th Ward, challenger Penuel Barrett defeated incumbent Robert Holston. Barrett garnered 211 votes to Holston’s 184 votes.  

Barrett will now serve a 2-year term along with Angela Townsend who was the only candidate to file for the 3rd Ward seat.
