Gov. John Carney has made his picks for two open judicial seats on Delaware’s Court of Chancery
Morgan Zurn and Kathaleen McCormick are Carney’s nominees.
Zurn is currently a Master on the Court of Chancery, presiding over trials and motions. Before that she was a Deputy Attorney General in Delaware’s Department of Justice, working in the Consumer Protection Unit and arguing before the state Supreme Court.
McCormick is a partner at Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, working in that firm’s Corporate Counseling and Litigation Section. Her work has focused on corporate, commercial and alternative entity litigation in the Court of Chancery.
The nominations are to fill two new Vice Chancellor spots created on the court this year, expanding the Chancery Court bench from five to seven.
The State Senate is scheduled to consider the nominations during a special session October 3rd.
