Congresswoman-elect Lisa Blunt Rochester (D) spent nearly $1.4 million during her historic campaign to become the first woman and African American Delaware sends to the Capitol.
Out of Blunt Rochester’s nearly $1.1 million in donations, she took in about $180,000 during the last three weeks of the election – most of it from political action committees around the country.
She used $110,000 of that for radio and TV ads, with even more money spent targeting voters online.
She closes out the election season with roughly $165,000 cash on hand.
Blunt Rochester continues to repay the nearly half million dollars she loaned herself for the campaign, with about $310,000 left on the balance sheet.
By comparison, her Republican challenger Hans Reigle collected a little more than $210,000 since announcing his bid in early 2015.
Blunt Rochester beat Reigle by nearly 15 points in November.
Financial reports for Libertarian Scott Gesty and Green Party candidate Mark Perri weren’t available. Both got less than two percent of the vote.
