You may not be aware of it but there’s a primary election in Delaware on September 13. If you want to vote, the last day to register is Saturday.
There’s no shortage of ways to register, according to Elaine Manlove, the state's election commissioner.
“If you’re going to DMV to register for driver’s license services you’ll be asked to register to vote there. Kent County and New Castle County are doing voter registrations at local libraries Saturday and all our offices in the state will be open Saturday."
You can also register online at ivote.de.gov, which is the easiest method, according to Manlove.
New Castle County’s elections office will be open from 9:00 to 5:00 on Saturday. Kentand Sussex County’selection offices will be open from 9:00 to 2:00.
You’ll be able to register at libraries in New Castle County during regular library hours. Registration at libraries in Kent County will have *abbreviated hours.
If you’re registered to vote you should have received a voter card in the mail by now, which will tell you where your polling place is located.
October 15 is the last day to register for the November general election.
*Kent County library registration hours:
Dover Public Library 1:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Kent County Public Library 2:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Harrington Public Library 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Smyrna Public Library 9:00 am to 1:45 pm.
