Leon Tucker

Leon Tucker is the owner of Leon Tucker Public Relations, LLC. Prior to starting his marketing and communications firm, Leon served as Director of Communications at the Delaware Department of Labor and represented Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County in a similar role. Leon, whose background is in newspaper journalism, has worked as a staff writer at the Miami Herald, St. Petersburg Times, Boston Globe and the Tennessean Newspaper in Nashville, to name a few. At The News Journal in Delaware, Leon helped direct news coverage ranging from crime and public safety to government and politics. During that time, Leon also served as an adjunct professor of journalism at Delaware State University. Leon would later join The News Journal’s sister paper, the Courier-Post in Cherry Hill, NJ as metro editor and then Managing Editor. Leon is the former president of the Delaware Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSADE) and an appointee to the New Castle County Government Diversity Commission.
