Delaware State University is limiting access to its main campus.
The university says its campus and other properties located in New Castle County and Sussex Counties are closed to the general public indefinitely.
The majority of staff will work remotely, except those identified as needing to be on campus.
The move comes as measures to slow the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to be enacted across the First State.
An estimated 200 students remain on campus - and school officials say they have access to food, mail, medical care, and other necessities.
And under guidelines provided by the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) - DSU’s day care operation - the Laboratory School - remains open.
The school told students last week not to come back from spring break until last least Sunday, April 5th. Class will resume online Wednesday and be held that way until at least April 3rd.
