Districts statewide hold school board elections Tuesday

Polls are open statewide Tuesday for district school board elections.

Sussex County has the largest number of contested races.  There are seven seats up for grabs across four school districts. Cape Henlopen School District residents will settle contested races for three sets on that district’s board. Another two races are in Indian River.  Voters in Seaford and Delmar School Districts each have one seat to decide.

In Kent County, the Caesar Rodney, Capital and Lake Forest school districts each have a single contest race,

And in New Castle County, four districts have elections today.  That includes the Appoquinimink School District, which features the most competitive race in the state. 5 names are on the ballot for an at-large seat.  Colonial School District has two contested races.  There’s one race on the ballot in both Brandywine and Christina.

Polls are open in all districts from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
