For a fifth straight year, Delmarva Power customers will get a break on their natural gas costs.
The average home will save a little under $17 a month once the new prices take effect November 1st with proration.
That’s a 12.9 percent drop from current rates.
The average residential cost for natural gas in Delaware hasn’t been this low since 2004 according to the federal Energy Information Administration.
Nationwide, prices are a bit lower than in the First State, though they’re also on a slight downward trend.
Cheaper natural gas, on average in the U-S hasn’t been seen since 2003.
