Delaware Public Media

The Delaware Department of Transportation is asking drivers to plan ahead to avoid paving of a portion of I-95 in Northern Delaware over the next week.

Work on the I-95/Route 202 Interchange project will force some day and nighttime closures of both north and southbound lanes.

Starting Thursday night overnight closure of I-95 North from the Concord Pike exit to the state line will begin - running from 10pm to 5am.

A single lane will be closed Friday night - then starting Saturday morning at 5 am I-95 North will be closed for 48 hours from the Concord Pike exit to the state line - along with the 202 southbound on-ramp for 95 north.

Next week - work will shift to I-95 south starting with overnight single-lane closure from 10pm to 5am Monday through Thursday night.

Next Friday night - 95 South road closes completely at the 202 exit until early Monday May 18th along with the ramp taking vehicles from 202 north to 95 south

Drivers passing through the Wilmington area can avoid the closures completely by using I-495.
