Bowman wins 'Drydene 400" at Dover

Dover Int'l Speedway Twitter

NASCAR’s lone race weekend in Dover this year wrapped up Sunday with Alex Bowman winning Cup series “Drydene 400.”

Bowman took the lead for good when he was first off pit road on lap 304.  He earns his second win of the 2021 season and first career victory at Dover International Speedway.

Bowman’s Hendrick Motorsports teammate Kyle Larson finished second after leading a race high 263 laps.

Hendrick Motorsports swept of the top 4 spots in the race,  the first time one team has taken first through fourth in a Cup Series race since 2005.

Fans were allowed back at the Monster Mile after COVID-19 kept them away last year.  But capacity was capped at 20,000. Attendance was not announced, but track officials said last week the event was sold out.
