Delle Donne and Team USA will be play an exhibition contest against France at the Carpenter Center in Newark next month as part of the 2016 USA Basketball Showcase tournament.

The game is part of a doubleheader at the Bob July 27th to kick-off the tourney.  The U.S. and France play at 7:30, following a 5 pm contest between Australia and Canada.  Tourney doubleheaders are also scheduled in Bridgeport, Connecticut and at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The U.S. is the five-time defending Olympic gold medalists, but this is the first time Delle Donne, the former Ursuline Academy and UD star, is on the team.

This will be the fourth time Delle Donne returns to Newark to play in front of her hometown fans.  She’s previously played three exhibitions at the Bob with her WNBA team, the Chicago Sky– including a contest just last month.

Tickets for the games in Newark go on sale Monday.
