Schedule for 2015 Firefly Festival goes public

The 2015 Firefly Festival in Dover  is less than two weeks away and Friday festival organizers Red Frog Events released the full performance schedule for all four days of the event.

Two local acts are on the schedule.  Dover hip hop trio Cypher Clique will open the festival Thursday afternoon at 5:30 on the Backyard stage and Newark’s Fiancé will bring its indie rock sound to Firefly’s Forest Stage Friday at 12:45 pm.

As expected – Paul McCartney will headline Friday night’s main stage with returning fan favorites Kings of Leon and The Killers – who both played the inaugural Firefly back in 2012 -  topping Saturday and Sunday’s bills respectively.

The final performance of the festival will be from mash-up artists White Panda who take the Backyard Stage Sunday at 10:45 pm.

The festival offers early check-in Wednesday, but the bulk of fans are expected to arrive early Thursday. It’s anticipated that nearly 90 thousand people will descend on the state capital for the event starting June 17th.

Red Frog also announced that four day Firefly passes at the current price tier of $329 are 93% sold out. After those are exhausted a small number of Last Chance passes will be available for $349. $699 VIP four day passes also remain, but are very close to being gone too.

The festival’s complete schedule and other information is available at their website, FireflyFestival.com.
